Christy M. Hensley, a Rockingham County native, joined Rockingham Community College (RCC) on June 29, 2026, as the Workforce Development Manager. In this role, she serves as a vital liaison between local employers, Rockingham County Schools (RCS), and RCC, helping to ensure that educational pathways align with the evolving workforce needs of businesses throughout Rockingham County.

Hensley works closely with RCS to identify and engage students interested in career pathways in advanced manufacturing, health sciences, and construction trades. Through strategic partnerships and outreach efforts, she promotes student participation in programs and courses that prepare them for high-demand, high-wage careers while strengthening the local workforce pipeline.
